Implementation of MPEG-7 document management system based on native database

Abstract

Embedded database technology can be used to manage MPEG-7 data with limited resources. In that case, we need a clustering method for the efficient storage of MPEG-7 documents. The present study designed and implemented a MPEG-7 document management system that can store MPEG-7 documents efficiently in mobile terminals such as PDA. The system used Berkeley DB XML, an embedded XML database system based on MPEG-7 data clustering. © 2010 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
