Abstract

Two types of axial flow fans are analyzed with commercial cfd code. Flow noise and charactristics by flow rate and pressure difference are compared with test data. In the analysis, two different conditions are used for flow rate and noise. The two fan show very different flow distributuions and flow noises. The differences are reviewed in detail in the paper using analysis of distribution of flow, pressure, and noise. These show the way to improve the flow rate and noise for axial flow fan.
