Abstract

The important requirement for developing conceptual data models is to reduce efforts, costs and time. This requirement can be implemented by the explicit use of enterprise knowledge for automatic or semiautomatic generation of conceptual data model. The enterprise knowledge can be represented using ontology. In this chapter we analyse graph-oriented ontology transformation to conceptual data model. We present a formal approach for automatic ontology transformation to conceptual data model.
