The European Environmental Bureau (EEB) is based in Brussels and represents Europe's largest network of environmental organisations. It brings together around 140 civil society organisations from more than 30 European countries and other non-governmental networks dedicated to sustainability. The EEB was established in 1974 to provide a focal point to monitor and respond to the emerging EU environment policy. It acts as a communication channel between its members and the EU institutions-the Commission, the European Parliament and Council.
