Abstract

The activity of turning on and off the electronic equipments and lights were often considered a nuisance and disturbing worked that often the equipment was on continuously without being shut off. This certainly can reduce the lifetime of the equipments, waste the electrical energy and cause an uncontrolled indoor climate condition. Therefore, it is necessary to design a control system to adress this problems. This paper describes the use of Mamdani fuzzy logic method to design a decision making system for controlling equipment's output. The control design process was started with establishing the fuzzy set, followed by the selection of fuzzy functions, rules composition and defuzzification. We show that the integration of an AT89S51 microcontroller into the fuzzification and defuzzification processes to determine the rule based on the obtained observation produces a control system for the room's electrical equipments with good performance.
