Abstract

In this paper, we deal with three- state device network system reliability model problem, by particle swarm optimization algorithm to seek the optimal solution of the problem. At first, classification is made for three- state device network system reliability optimization model, then, we construct two new three-state system reliability optimization model and design a discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve the approximate optimal solution. Computer simulations show that the algorithm gives the approximate optimal solution of the model. New models and optimization algorithms for researching network system design and optimization problems are of theoretical and practical significance. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2012.
