Abstract

In our own lives, many of us have enjoyed playing as children with cute teddy bears, dolls, and/or other toys. When we began to read a language, illustrated stories often depicted cute, cuddly animals, people, and objects. Many people probably think they have a reasonably stable, inclusive understanding of what is cute, and what is not.
