This article compiles the main research work in gender matters that has been carried out in in the sphere of School Organization from the 1980s to the present day. We have organized these scientific contributions along three broad lines: school culture and climate, teaching staff and planning processes, and lastly, management and leadership. These research works have brought about a new approach to themes and research methods in the field of studies on educational organization, introducing fresh ideas and strategies for the improvement of education. These contributions are in line with the changes perceived in this area of study and are aimed towards the recognition of organizations as cultural and political realities.
