Abstract

The main goal of this chapter is to demonstrate the design and development of aGUI framework that ismodel driven and is not directly linked to one presentation technology or any specific presentation subsystemof a certain programming language. This framework will allow us to create graphical user interfaces that are not only dynamically customizable but also multilingual. In order to demonstrate this new concept we design in this chapter a new framework called Customizable Enterprise Data Administrator (CEDAR). Additionally, we build a prototype of this framework and a technologydependent engine which would transform the output of our framework into a known presentation technology. © 2009 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC.
