Abstract

The volume is divided into eight chapters. The first provides an overview, including a historical perspective and an analysis of key systems and species. The second chapter looks at agroforestry in North America and its role in farming systems. Next agroforestry sustems in New Zealand are examined, followed by similar treatments of agroforestry in temperate Australia and China. Chapter six details agroforestry the European way. The seventh chapter looks at silvopastoral use of Argentine Patagonian forests. The final chapter consists of a synthesis and a look to the future.
