The model CLMM (Charles University Large-eddy Microscale Model) is a large-eddy simulation model for atmospheric flows. It solves Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible flow using the projection method and the 3rd order Runge-Kutta method in time. The spatial discretization is performed using the finite volume method on a uniform staggered grid. The capability of the model to compute flows influenced by buoyancy is evaluated in this study in the case of stable stratification of the planetary boundary layer. The results are compared to the results of the project GABLS [2] with a good agreement. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2011.
