Abstract

The construction of teaching Science and Biology must be contextualized with the teacher taking into account the routine and prior knowledge of the students in order to enhance their cultural diversity. Using didactic tools is of great utility to assist in this teaching-learning process as well as field courses in natural environments are quite effective. In order to report how Agroecology can help in learning the ecological succession concepts, this work was divided into two stages: the first in the classroom through posters and the second in a field of Agroforestry System (AFS). It was observed that the use of agroecological concepts facilitated significantly the contents of Ecological Succession and the field class in a AFS contributed to motivate the students in the teaching-learning process. Thus, agroecological concepts worked efficiently for the teaching of Ecological Succession.
