Abstract

The use of single-crystal techniques and quasi-single-crystal samples in solving and refining complex crystal structures at high pressure is reviewed. In particular, recent studies of the incommensurate and modulated structures found in a number of elemental metals at high pressure are focused on. © 2005 International Union of Crystallography Printed in Great Britain - all rights reserved.
