Abstract

The microstrip antennas are focused in last few years due to their tiny volumes, low profiles, superior integration with minimum costs, and acceptable performance. There are higher interests for the volume and integration of antennas for specific working bands due to the rapid growth of various wireless communication devices. The microstrip patch antennas can successfully work on multi-band frequency applications with required performance criteria. In this paper, we propose the design of octagonal-shaped microstrip patch antenna at dual band. The simulation results confirm good performance of proposed design at dual band (C and X band) 5.70 and 8.0 GHz.
