Abstract

examine the structure of one kind of experience common during the first year of life—imitative interaction / interpersonal experience / studied matching activity as an aspect of mother-infant interaction during the infant's first year of life / first goal was to document the occurrence of matching activity as a frequent and regular aspect of such interactions in a larger sample of mother-infant dyads / second goal was to examine the differences in matching activity between dyads with infants of different ages / final goal was to compare the form of matching activity in two contexts: face-to-face interaction and interaction with toys (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
