Li metal is an ideal anode material for rechargeable batteries, including Li-air, Li-S, and other Li metal batteries using intercalation compounds or conversion compounds as cathode materials. Although there are still many obstacles to overcome, we are optimistic that Li metal can be used as an anode in rechargeable batteries in the near future. This will enable wide applications of rechargeable Li metal batteries.
