Abstract

Abstract. Quarter-life-crisis is a feeling of worry experienced by individuals around the age of 20, uncertainty about life around relationships, careers, and social life. One way to reduce feelings of worry during the quarter-life-crisis, which requires the individual's ability to gain peace of mind through psychological therapy such as spiritual therapy, is prayer. Prayer is a condition that can provide a sense of security and peace, when one's whole body and soul are focused on one thing, namely Allah SWT. The condition in which individuals can focus on one thing with full meaning is called mindfulness. Through prayer, individuals have a mindfulness attitude that is internalized from the essence of prayer, starting from the prayer movement, being solemn and reading prayer. When individuals have reached a state of mindfulness, it is easier for individuals to get peace of mind because they always remember Him. This literature study is an attempt to develop a psychological study of Islam about using it in everyday life. The results are expected to be applied as a preventive measure for the application of individuals experiencing a quarterlife crisis. Abstrak. Quarter-life-crisis merupakan perasaan khawatir yang dialami individu sekitar usia 20-an perihal ketidakpastian kehidupan mendatang seputar relasi, karier, dan kehidupan sosial. Salah satu cara mengurangi perasaan khawatir di masa quarter-life-crisis dibutuhkan kemampuan individu untuk memperoleh ketenangan dirinya melalui terapi psikologis berbentuk terapi spiritual yaitu ibadah shalat. Shalat merupakan suatu kondisi yang dapat memberikan rasa aman dan damai, ketika seluruh tubuh dan jiwa seseorang terfokus kepada satu hal, yaitu Allah SWT. Kondisi dimana individu dapat fokus terhadap satu hal dengan penuh pemaknaan disebut mindfulness. Melalui ibadah shalat, individu terlatih memiliki sikap mindfulness yang terinternalisasi dari esensi shalat mulai dari gerakan shalat, khusyuk-nya dan bacaan shalat. Ketika individu sudah mencapai kondisi mindfulness, memudahkan individu untuk mendapatkan ketenangan hati karena selalu mengingat-Nya. Studi literatur ini merupakan upaya mengembangkan kajian psikologi islam mengenai perannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasilnya diharapkan dapat diterapkan sebagai langkah preventif untuk meminimalkan kekhawatiran individu yang mengalami masa quarterlife crisis.
