AKtifitas Anti Inflamasi Ekstrak Etanol Daun Kembang Bulan (Tithonia diversifolia. A. Gray) terhadap Mencit Putih Betina

Abstract

The anti inflammatory effect of ethanolic extract of the kembang bulan (Tithonia diversifolia A.Gray) leaves on female white mice has been done topically using modification methode between making edema and granuloma pouch. Induction was done by injectioning carragenin 2 %b/v in NaCl fisiologis subcutaneously. The extract was given topically as ointment for 4 days in various concentration: 1%, 2.5% and 5%. The parameter were observed include edema volume, totally of leucocytes cell on edema and blood. The result of research showed that ethanolic extract of the kembang bulan (Tithonia diversifolia A.Gray) leaves gives topically anti inflammatory effect. It can reduced the edema volume and gives effect on decreasing leucocytes cell on edema and can increased neutrofil cells and limpocyt cells on blood significantly (P<0,05). The maximal effect of anti inflammatory was seeen at concentration 5% with the lowest edema volume 0,03 ml, higher than anti inflammatory effect of hidrocortison acetat 2,5% with edema volume 0,08 ml.
