This work proposes the use of an active inductor to construct an RF bandpass filter. The main characteristic of the circuit is the incorporation of active inductors that rely on the gyrator-C topology according to the 0.18 µm CMOS TSMC technology. Such a new configuration enables to build an OTA circuit using simple current mirrors. On the basis of the frequency transformation method, a C-coupled bandpass filter is designed. Simulation results, obtained by means of the PSPICE software, show good performances in terms of the scattering parameters and the noise figure demonstrating the effectiveness of the new topology.
