Abstract

Annotation tools for media are getting more and more important. The application for these kind of applications are very manifold. This paper describes some ongoing work on a video annotation environment supporting the media production and post-production process. Based on a former approach, some new development like integrated audio conferencing with recording facilities for audio based work instructions and an automatized video segmentation module are presented. Beside these technical improvements an object based approach for the video annotation process is presented. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.
