Abstract

In the Russian literature and Red List 2000 the synonym C. aegagrus is used. Two subspecies: C. a. aegagrus Erxleben, 1777 (Caucasus), C. a. turcmenica Zalkin, 1950 (syn. C. a. blythi Hume, 1875) (Turkmenistan) are recognized (Heptner 1989).
