Abstract

In the past decade, perhaps, the most dramatic evolution, a new agenda, in organization is the dawn of the new economy associated with the value of intellectual assets. The main goal of this paper is to integrate Formal Concept Analysis (FCA) with Protégé to build up ontology-based Traditional Chinese Medicine, with Acu-point serving both as an example, and a knowledge-sharing platform. This may make the experts' knowledge visualization and understand with the general public, provide that a patient has the opportunity to participate in, and be totally aware of, the complete symptoms of his/her illness. Moreover, the platform could contribute towards eliminating the phenomenon of information disparity between patients and physicians. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2007.
