Abstract

Palabras clave: conservadurismo, Latinoamérica, Occidente, orientación política, valores personales ABSTRACT The study examines the relationship between the political orientation and the psychological dimensions of conservatism (resistance to change and acceptance of inequality) in six Western and eight Latin-American cultures. The political orientation was measured through two indicators -the left-right self-position and the attitudes to income equality-, and the conservatism was measured through the personal values relate to Conservation and Self-promotion. Relation between personal values and corruption permissiveness of government servants in India and the moderating role of dissatisfaction with the financial condition of the family. Evaluating the structure of human values with confirmatory factor analysis.
