Abstract

In this paper, we propose an antenna operating at a frequency of 28 GHz. RT5880 Rogers Corporation dielectric constant 2.2 has been used as substrate. Simulation and performance analysis of antenna in terms of directivity, gain, return loss, characteristic impedance, BW, and efficiency has been done on High-Frequency Structural Simulator 13 program. Performance analysis result establishes that the proposed design of antenna is optimal. The gain of the proposed antenna is higher than 13 dB. We find that antenna has the S11 response less than −10 dB in the desired frequency range. By considering analysis results, the proposed antenna qualifies for millimeter-wave and 5th generation (5G) applications.
