Abstract

Chapter 1 introduces the foundation of Internet of Things (IoT) and formulates a comprehensive definition. It presents a framework to monitor and control things from anywhere in the world and provides business justifications on why such monitoring and control of things are important to businesses and enterprises. It then introduces a dozen key factors that make IoT a present reality.
