A new method for individually marking slugs (arion lusitanicus (mabille)) by magnetic transponders

Abstract

A new method for marking arionid slugs is described. By the use of magnetic transponders they can be marked individually without significantly altering their vitality. High numbers of different codes, long duration, and easy, safe and reliable readability are the main advantages of this method. © The Malacological Society of London 1996.
