Impacto del uso de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación que apoyan la cadena de suministro (TIC-CS) sobre el desempeño organizacional

Abstract

The aim of this work is to determine and analyze, by means of a revision of the relevant literature, the nature of, and the way in which, the impacts generated by the use of the information and communication technologies, which support the supply chain (ICT-SC), affect organizational performance. First, a brief outline of the concepts of performance and of the supply chain is made and then the results of twenty-six empirical investigations relating to such impact are reviewed and discussed. It was found that these researches report impacts of a positive nature in four different ways. Finally, to act by the use of complementarities to reduce the risks associated with the efficacy of the ICT-SC implementation process is suggested. (English) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
