Abstract

This study examined the readability of papers that College & Research Libraries accepted, rejected, and published for 1990 and 1991. In addition to showing a statistically significant difference for the text ofpapers, but not for the abstracts, this investigation reports topics for further investigation and presents a procedure for others to follow in replicating the study.
