Abstract

A review. The effects of the thermodn., kinetic, and mol. recognition phenomena on crystn. and the role of solvent in these processes are described. The role of solvent on crystn., polymorphic outcome, and phase transformations is also discussed. Exptl. approaches for polymorph screening are presented with an emphasis on the important considerations and strategies for solvent selection.
