Abstract

Fibrosing mediastinitis is a rare disorder characterized by progressive mediastinal fibrosis. The purpose of this chapter is to provide an overview of the etiology and epidemiology of this condition. In addition, the imaging features of fibrosing mediastinitis on CT, MRI, and FDG-PET are reviewed, and the potential role of FDG-PET imaging in this pathology is discussed.
