The current Spanish-speaking Literary Journalism thrives on the work of writers such as the Argentinean Martín Caparrós, which now has forty years of journalistic performance. This writer has developed a methodology of fieldwork and documentation; at the same time he has developed a documental narrative that nowadays is a reference to Literary Journalism. This article delves into his journalistic and literary production, and especially his latest chronicles: Contra el cambio and El Hambre. We define the characteristics of this documental narrative and the narrator that Martin Caparrós plays in his chronicles. In this study, the concept of intransigent realism is explained as a category that defines the reportorial process, the documental work and the narrative style of this Argentinean journalist. And we define this concept depending on the appearance and quality of certain parameters of analysis: the political commitment, the historical sense and the style.
