Abstract

Nine compds. were isolated from Et acetate and n-butanol exts. of Lysimachia clethroides and their structures were assigned from 1H- and 13C-NMR spectra and mass spectra as -daucosterol (1), kaempferol (2), -sitosterol (3), quercetin (4), stigmasterol (5), -amyrin (6), betulinic acid (7), 3, 5,7,4'-tetrahydroxyflavanol (8) and -amyrin (9). Compds. 7 and 8 were isolated from the plant for the first time, and also isolated from Lysimachia genus for the first time. Et acetate and n-butanol exts. showed antioxidant activity, petroleum ether and n-butanol exts. showed -glucosidase inhibitory activity. Compds. 2 and 4 had antioxidant activity with IC50 of 14.78 0.07 and 6.94 0.03 ׬g/mL, resp., and -glucosidase inhibitory activity with IC50 of 73.69 0.07 and 8.86 0.04 ׬g/mL, resp. These results indicated that kaempferol and quercetin are the main active compds. in L. clethroides. [on SciFinder(R)]
