This article aims to study the same-sex relationships in two radically different socio-legal contexts (Belgium and Italy). In particular, it highlights the links between the romantic attachment style, the internalized homophobia, the social support and the desire and intent of parenthood. The sample is composed by 120 young homosexual people (60 Belgian and 60 Italian), each sub-group is stratified into 2 equal groups according to gender (30 men and 30 women) and to the relational status (30 singles and 30 in a current relationship). Some significant correlations and differences between these groups have been demonstrated, allowing a better understanding of the way to live a relationship and the desire of parenthood among homosexual people. © Médecine & Hygiène.
