Abstract
The paper presents the results of an exploratory research based on 10 SMEs used as case studies with the purpose to observe the state of practices with regard to the integration of maintenance with production management. The research intends to provide an evaluation of the quality of integration by means of a maturity assessment method. The resulting evidences allow an initial concern on strengths and weaknesses of maintenance management and its relationship with production management in SMEs. © IFIP International Federation for Information Processing 2014.
