Abstract

There are general contraindications for many surgical procedures. There are some specific contraindications for certain types of procedures. Contraindications can also be divided into absolute and relative contraindications. This chapter will discuss contraindications in Kock pouch surgery. Since Kock pouch surgery is highly elective and non-mandatory being a procedure aiming to improve quality of life it is of outmost importance that the patient is very well prepared, both mentally and physically and optimized for surgery at all settings.
