Documenting The Business of Government—Archival Issues in the Digital Age

Abstract

This article outlines the state of recordkeeping across the Commonwealth government and the National Archives of Australia s response to it. It describes a range of initiatives developed by the Archives to help agencies improve their management of corporate information in the electronic era, including that subset that constitutes the official ‘federal record’.
