Abstract

A field evaluation was conducted in a classroom for profoundly deaf children, to determine the effects upon speech production of experience with a tactile sensory aid. The aid displays sound frequencies as touch patterns on a belt worn around the abdomen. © 1981 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
