Abstract

The behavior of the double conversion between HgSe and CdTe is strongly influenced by intrinsic doping. Because of the miscibility gap in the reacting system the reaction paths with chalcogen saturated and metal saturated samples are totally different. These differences are explained using the diffusion coefficients of the corresponding quasibinary systems.
