Proliferative breast lesions

Abstract

This chapter deals with ductal and lobular proliferative lesions with an emphasis on the benign and atypical ones including in particular usual and atypical ductal hyperplasia, columnar cell lesions, and fl at epithelial atypia. In situ malignant lesions are mentioned briefl y, and criteria for distinguishing them from benign and atypical proliferative lesions are discussed.
