Abstract

A novel saccharide sensing system has been established with an aggregation-induced emission (AIE)-cored probe by utilizing the dynamic covalent bond formation between the diol and boronic acid. Interestingly, this system can selectively sense D-glucose, and the fluorescence spectrum shows a ratiometric change arising from the D-glucose-induced stepwise morphological growth.
