Abstract

In the 60s, after the postwar period of World War II, experts questioned the document created after the IV CIAM held in 1933 called the Athens Charter. That begins with the elaboration of the charter of Venice in 1964 and arrives until the charter of Krakow of 2,000 [1], with the focus placed on the conservation of the Patrimony. The recent disappearance of the Guzmán house built by Alejandro de la Sota in Madrid, one of the masterpieces of Spanish architecture in the second half of the twentieth century, has once again highlighted the urgent need to articulate and promote protection mechanisms legal to stop the demolitions and transformations that the architecture of the twentieth century undergoes and that does not yet have any degree of protection. This article describes the actions taken since the Architecture School of University of Alcala (UAH) to document, protect and disseminate contemporary heritage related to laminar concrete structures, through the use of new 3D reconstruction and survey technologies, so that it can be extended to other elements of our contemporary architectural heritage.
