Abstract

We demonstrate two optical parametric amplifier schemes, based on β-bariumborate and periodically-poled lithium tantalate respectively, generating ultrabroadband pulses in the 1-2 μm range. Using a deformable mirror compressor we obtain 8.5-fs pulses at 1.6 μm.
