Abstract

This chapter discusses the many clients who most need help in a world with over 40 million refugees and internally displaced people; a world in which five out of six people are non-Caucasian; a world increasingly becoming a world of immigrants (Marsella 2009). How do the psychological professions have to change in order to serve meaningfully this world? What constitutes genuinely health-promoting clinical practice aimed at fostering full-spectrum individual and community prosperity in a global age?
