Abstract

attempt to describe the relationship between the nature of the Italian language and the reading and writing difficulties which may occur when children learn to read in the first section, 'The Italian Language,' the main linguistic and cognitive features of the language are outlined and the most frequent reading and writing errors in the Italian language are described the second section, 'Italy Facing Dyslexia,' presents educational and Governmental policies toward developmental reading-writing disabilities in Italian language the third section, 'Reading and Writing Impairments,' deals with three case studies which illustrate clinical findings of the main aspects of reading and writing impairments in Italian language (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
