Abstract

X Hospital has implemented computerized control of borrowing and returning inpatient medical record files using Microsoft Excel. In the process of returning, it is still not in accordance with the existing standard operating procedure. The percentage of delay in returning inpatient medical record files in January-April 2021 is 74.87%. The purpose is to design and build a system for borrowing and returning inpatient medical record files to overcome the problem of late returns. This study uses the prototype development method. In the process of designing this system using flowcharts system, context diagrams, data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams, and implementing programs using visual studio code. The result is a website-based reminder system that can assist the process of controlling the borrowing and returning of inpatient medical record files. User assessment using the Likert scale method of 85.09%, which means the system is in accordance with the wishes and needs. The advantage of this system is that there is a loan notification for medical record officers. For inpatients there is a reminder notification regarding the return of the inpatient medical record file which is automatically sent every 2 x 24 hours and until the loan status changes to back.
