Study on education resource discovery based on mobile agent in grid environment

Abstract

Education resources is an entity which are being used and refer to in the learning process. Educational resources include materials, courseware, guidance material, exercises sets, tool-type data, teaching standards and process norms that used in the process of teaching and evaluation, management. The Internet is general support environment of today's virtual and distributed learning systems, various educational systems and resources have appeared, but the current search engine technology that discovers resource with the keywords or topic guide method based on classification approach are still not satisfactory on helping people positioning accurately and found resources. For this problem, this paper describes educational resources with educational metadata specifications LOM description, and combined with Mobile Agent technology, proposes a model of education resource discovery based on Mobile Agent in grid environment, described the discovery of educational resources, expounds the process of discovery of educational resources. © 2012 Springer-Verlag London Limited.
