Abstract

The 10 papers (abstracted separately) are arranged in three parts: 1) on the traces of pre-life discusses geochemistry and geology as a background on how life could emerge from inert matter; 2) from pre-life to life, and the construction of the cell as the base of all living matter; 3) is life a hazard or a necessity?
