Abstract

Bent prefect crystals can give many strong multiple-reflection processes through utilising two sets of lattice planes which are mutually in the dispersive setting. They provide doubly reflected beams with a very narrow bandwidths and high collimation. Such strong multiple-reflection processes realized in cylindrically bent perfect crystals have been proven to be suitable for ultra high-resolution monochromating. Calculations indicate that the multiple-reflection effects could easily be identified. Some examples of powder diffraction and high resolution radiography are also presented.
