Congressos internacionais sobre transdisciplinaridade: reflexões sobre emergências e convergências de idéias e ideais na direção de uma nova ciência moderna

Abstract

O artigo focaliza o processo de constituição de um corpo de conhecimento recente sobre a transdisciplinaridade. Baseia-se em fontes documentais de congressos e colóquios internacionais sobre o tema e apresenta tal processo como parte do amplo movimento de crítica , na atualidade, ao paradigma dominante que preside a ciência moderna, considerado fragmentador e redutor da realidade , porque centrado em disciplinas cujo pressuposto é ignorar o que existe "entre" e "além" de suas fronteiras. Discute as possibilidades do surgimento desse novo referencial relacionadas ao poder heurístico do termo 'transdisciplinaridade', considerado capaz de congregar cientistas de diferentes áreas e humanistas em geral em torno de um conjunto de idéias passível de representar a consecução de um grande ideal: integrar o conhecimento e humanizar a ciência. Essa proposta é considerada inovadora, por não colocar a transdisciplinaridade como uma hiperdisciplina, mas considera-la, ao lado da pluri, da inter e também da disciplina, como uma das quatro flexas de um mesmo arco: o do conhecimento. Também por propor o diálogo entre as ciências, assim como com a filosofia, a arte, a literatura, a experiência humana, etc. Destaca, igualmente, a capacidade heurística desse referencial, organizado sobre três pilares - " a complexidade", " os diferentes níveis de realidade" e " a lógica do terceiro incluído" - , por possibilitar avanços em estudos que o tem empregado objetivando a construção de uma metodologia transdisciplinar. Aponta, finalmente, para a contribuição que a adoção desse referencial poderá trazer para pesquisas no campo da saúde pública e coletiva.The article approaches the process of constitution of a recent body of knowledge about transdisciplinarity. It is based on documental sources of international congresses and colloquiums on the theme and presents this process as part of the current broad movement of criticism against the dominant paradigm that presides over modern science. This paradigm fragments and reduces reality, because it is centered on disciplines that ignore what exists "between" and "beyond" their borders. It discusses the possibilities of the emergence of this new body of knowledge related to the heuristic power of the term 'transdisciplinarity', considered capable of congregating scientists from different areas and humanists in general around ideas that can represent the achievement of a great ideal: integrating knowledge and humanizing science. This proposal is innovative, as it does not consider transdisciplinarity a hyperdiscipline; rather, together with pluridisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity and also the discipline, it is one of the arrows of the same bow: that of knowledge. Also because it proposes the dialog between the sciences, and also with philosophy, the arts, literature, human experience, etc. In addition, it emphasizes the heuristic capacity of this body of knowledge, organized on three pillars - "complexity", "different levels of reality" and "the logic of the included middle" -, as it enables advances in studies that have been employing it, aiming at the construction of a transdisciplinary methodology. Finally, it points to the contribution that the adoption of this body of knowledge can provide for research in the field of public and collective health.
