Abstract

This paper introduces a Web-based information communication ethics education system. The system is designed and implemented specifically for elementary school students. It is distinguished by the following characteristics: First, the system allows students to leam information communication ethics by discussion, rather than providing information for them to memorize. For this purpose, the system's design is based on the projectbased model (PBM). The second feature of this education system is its support of various types of interactions. Students can exchange their ideas with other students, teachers, as well as experts in the field. This encourages students to organize small groups for themselves. Third, the system permits students to find materials that they can apply to real life. © Springer-Verlag 2004.
